Pamela chose a future in health care at a very young age. Growing up with a beloved grandfather in medicine, he modeled how healthcare can be gratifying, important work that can positively impact the world one person at a time. He inspired in her a sense of respect and compassion for every individual and a commitment to excellence, skillful diagnosis and a kind and attentive manner. Pamela has gained much as a nurse from working in varied settings. Intensive Care honed her assessment skills and time management. International public health deepened her conviction to care for the underserved. A Doctorate of Nursing degree prepared Pamela with needed knowledge and experience to be an exceptional Advanced Practice Nurse/ Family Nurse Practitioner. Midwifery became Pamela’s future late one night in a remote Honduran village. A local friend requested Pamela attend the birth of her child. In the faint candlelight of a humble home, through hours of labor, her desire to attend births and support families became crystal clear.Upon attaining her Post Graduate Certificate in Nurse Midwifery Pamela’s midwifery career began at a free-standing birth center in southern Texas. On the Westside of Chicago, she helped found a midwifery practice and grew it until the mountains of Colorado called her away. Since moving to Denver, Pamela has continued her rewarding work as a midwife providing full-scope women's health care. Whether in private practice, public health clinics or busy academic hospitals, her convictions remain the same.&Pamela’s vocation is to support women through providing accessible, evidence-based, compassionate healthcare.
